This Weeks Focus-Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)

Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)

We've been obsessed with finding wild dandelion. Off the beaten roads and in the yard- they're everywhere this time of year! I've already made dandelion oil! The entire plant is edible  (including the roots and seeds). It's a complete protein, as it has 8 essential amino acids and B vitamins- packed with Vitamin A,C,E,K,Calcium, Potassium,Iron,Magnesium,Copper and Zinc (due to its deep taproot that accesses so much goodness from the soil)

Dandelion balances electrolytes and helps with the absorption of other nutrients. It encourages a healthy gut, reduces inflammation, aids in digestion of proteins and fats, purify, build and oxygenate the blood; decongest the liver and improve it's function (which improves skin and age spots): reduces acidity in the body;and increases the flow of urine to flush out toxins and lower blood pressure without depleting potassium.
